If you love Rock n Roll and you somehow find yourself in Fullerton California, you simply can’t miss swinging by The Slidebar. This rock venue has all the charm and integrity of the greats… CBGB’s in NYC (only without the vomit smell), The Marquee Club in London (only without the accent), or the Electric Banana in Pittsburgh (only without the crazy owner wielding a shotgun).

Music ChinaShop Presents ROCK at the Viper Room Nov 18th
Every now and again an idea comes along that is so outstanding that you have to say to yourself… OF COURSE that’s BRILLIANT! We have had such an idea…
ChinaShop presents ROCK at The Viper Room this coming Friday Nov 18th. We have partnered with the infamous establishment to host a variety of seriously good rock bands. Every other month in 2012 we are going to take over a night and have our way with it. And Friday is NOT to be missed…
Gallery Los Angeles In Line For A “Do Over”
The line snaking outside the Cabana Club stretches nearly a full block from its starting point of a tatted Asian rocker chic with blue hair at the gate, down past a Harry Potter looking dude in jhorts, and finishes with what looks from here, a Pakistani Jesus complete with robe. This multi-cultural serpent has become a spectacle of its own in a town all too familiar with lines of lost souls outside a club, for this one is bathed in daylight on a Sunday afternoon! It even has a Twitter hashtag (#do-over-line). But don’t fret, for in exchange for your patience, your body will soon be baptized in the spirit-s: Sangria, Soul music, and most likely Somebody else. (RT @waldorules: @do_over EVEN THE SOCIALLY AWKWARD SOUND GUY IN STAR TREK T-SHIRT IS GETTING LAID AFTER THIS ONE!)
Art Featured Mystery and Wonder: The Lucent Dossier Experience
As the Lucent Dossier Experience gets ready for their special engagement next week at the historic Downtown Palace Theatre in Los Angeles on Thursday, July 28, the world renowned avant-garde electro-dub cirque have posted exciting news about the event at their website (pasted below).
Event Gallery TwentyWonder: A “Carnival of the Mind”
I bore easily. And my team of crack doctors are not sure if that is the result of the misfiring of a couple bazillion plaque laden dendrites or more likely the result of a mind/body switch (like with Sex, Drugs, and Natalie Portman), but mine with a kitteh. So it’s not all to often I find myself as entertained as I was this past weekend at TwentyWonder. A “carnival of the mind” featuring art, science, music and comedy which collided heart first with ass kickin roller derby to benefit the Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles.
Event Happy Effing 4th of July
ChinaShop wishes you a happy Independence Day and in the words of Katy, please feel free to “Ignite the light and let it shine just own the night like the Forth of July.”
Party on,
ChinaShop

To celebrate the U.S. launch of The Red Bulletin magazine, New Yorkers and famous athletes flocked to District 36 to party down with July’s cover girl and two-time World Champion Hurdler Lolo Jones, along with the Boston Celtics’ Rajon Rondo, Red Bull Racing NASCAR driver Brian Vickers and Dahani Jones of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Featured Gallery Music Punk Rock Pool Party: Old Man Markley
One of the best things about Summertime is the abundance of pool parties. But if that pool party is in Las Vegas and Old Man Markley is playing, then it’s possibly the Best Pool Party Ever!
Iron Fist Clothing hosted the Punk Rock Pool Party and Bikini Contest at the Goldspike Hotel in Vegas, just off historic Freemont Street in Old Las Vegas. The pool area itself is classic mid-century motor inn, far from the shadow of the McHotels on the strip. Perfect for sunbathing! And an afternoon invasion from punks around the globe (including Canada and Australia!) which didn’t seem to bother the hotel staff one bit.
Event Gallery The Best of LA’s Mobile Eateries : Truckit Fest
Food trucks are hard to keep track of. You can follow their Twitter feeds and burn your gas driving around trying to locate them, but wouldn’t it be nice if there was just one place where they all congregated? Fortunately, as of March 6th, food trucks of LA will unite at a monthly food lover’s paradise, otherwise known as Truckit Fest. The other good news is you can catch all these mobile muncharies this Sunday April 3rd and get your eat on.
Event How To Survive in Austin, ChinaShop Style
Here in Austin, there’s just as much good stuff happening on the street corners and outside of venues as there is on the inside. From dawn to dusk and beyond, it’s nothing but end-to-end music, which leaves very little time to remove oneself from the slipstream and relax. That’s where ChinaShop comes in. We’ve always fancied ourselves as purveyors of good taste, communicating the best of what’s out there straight to your computer monitor, but this week we thought we’d go the extra mile provide a tangible service to the band’s themselves. The music makers. The dreamers of dreams. So here’s what we did.
