Contest World’s Top Snowmobilers Fly High in Urban Freestyle Snowmobiling Competition

On Saturday, November 5, eight of the globe’s top snowmobilers will take over the Windy City’s evening sky for Red Bull Fuel + Fury. The freestyle snowmobiling competition will take place on Clark Street between Addison and Waveland in a lot outside of Wrigley Field. Gates will open at 5 PM and the competition will begin at 6 PM. Tickets will be required for entry but will be available for FREE at www.redbullusa.com/fuelandfury.com.

The inaugural Red Bull Fuel + Fury took place in Jackson, WY in 2003, but this year marks the first time ever for any extreme freestyle snowmobiling to touch grounds in the heart of Chicago.

If you’re a Los Angeles dance music aficionado, you know that John Digweed at the Mayan is about as close as you can get to an institutional event. Since the good folks at Liquified brought the iconic DJ into the equally iconic downtown venue over a decade ago, Digweed’s midweek all-nighter has consistently brought out LA’s best dance crowds, and the music is always top notch.

So let’s get you in, shall we?

Diggers was nice enough to kick us down with an interview (read it after the jump) and two tickets to his show at the Mayan on Wednesday, August 3rd. Contest The “Effin Ladies” Get Your Motor Runnin’: Red Bull Creation

On July 10th, teams of inventors, makers, and hackers will head to Brooklyn, New York where they will embark on a 72-hour anything goes build-a-thon. The event, known as Red Bull Creation, will challenge teams to push their imaginative limits and “create the future.” Upon arriving in New York, contestants will be given a theme, taken to a creative build space, and unleashed on the streets of New York city as they scramble to acquire materials and seek inspiration for creating a potentially winning masterpiece. After being judged in front of a live audience, the winners will go home with a load of cash and tools to support future projects.

16 teams are officially in the running, with six deemed as wild cards. Among the wild cards is the all female team of Zorah and Tirzah Rodgers, Laura Leva, and Sarah Kihls who call themselves “Effin Ladies.” The ladies bring a twist to the contest, as unlike many of the contenders, they are scattered around the United States and until July 10th, have never collaborated on a project as a unit. They haven’t quite lined all their ducks in a row but come contest day, the Effin Ladies plan on bringing the heat.

Contest Red Bull Grand Design Challenge

ChinaShop is hosting an online contest inviting designers, fashionistas, and motorsport enthusiasts to design the 2011 Red Bull Grid Girl outfits for the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix (July 22-24 2011) and Red Bull Indianapolis GP (August 26-28, 2011) MotoGP races.

What’s MotoGP, you ask? It is the world’s premier motorcycle racing series, where the riders can go over 200 mph on million-dollar motorcycles. With 18 races in 13 countries, it is the two-wheel version of Formula 1.

The Red Bull Grid Girls help to keep the festivities interesting. Every year a group of very hot – and I’m sure, talented – models are chosen to help start the race and help celebrate at the finish.

Red Bull hosts both American MotoGP races, and would like a different, new design for the girls to wear at each one. You don’t have to be a race enthusiast in order to desire to see an outfit you conceived on the girls. You don’t even need to know how to sew! Red Bull will take care of getting the outfits constructed, all you have to do is come up with an innovative, creative, classic, tasteful yet sexy design.
