I was always the kid who could find the remote, to this day, I herald it as the sole reason I must be my father’s favorite son.  No matter if lost deep within a couch crevasse, perched in a planter high above the window sill, or complacently waiting atop the TV (no one ever looks); my peepers were a peepin.

My modesty will not allow me to consider this a superpower, which it surely is. It’s just that I tend to break my visual field down into small segments for study before I see the bigger picture. This helps me see the more minute things which are often overlooked. Trust me, great for finding remotes and photography, but hell when it comes to dating.

I feel some of following images exemplify this knack for finding things in small places or those tended to be overlooked. This gallery was shot within a 2 block radius, of a pretty decent area, on the east side Austin, Tx. Sadly, I’m pretty sure the majority of this work will forever go unnoticed.
